Fine Art Print
I found the perfect recipe for a brilliantly bold pink while working on a giant abstract this summer. It starts with a base of ripe raspberries and their sticky red juice. Add a handful of petals from a fading peony, a sprinkle of red roses and a dash of candy floss. Finish off the colourful concoction with some strawberry ice cream and cherry on top ... all enjoyed high atop a Ferris wheel. And thus, I whipped up this "hot damn" of a painting. Bon appétit!
‘Raspberry’ wraps up the nostalgic feelings of ‘pick your own’ fruit and its sweetness in a colorful abstract art print. It’s a cheerful addition to the rainbow of colour in my ‘Detours’ series of acrylic paintings and prints; a ‘Summer Detour’ art print that captures the feeling of a meandering summer day and celebrates the joy found in days filled with bright sunshine.
My colorful abstracts are free-spirited expressions of spontaneity and my love of colour. I used larger canvases for the originals in this summer series to give me room to add movement and interest to the backgrounds, adding beautiful subtlety to the art print format. The result perfectly captures the special feeling of a lazy summer day filled with wonderful friends, brilliant sunshine, and laughter.
‘Raspberry’ is a gorgeous splash of summer, beautifully created to bring the warmth and joy of summertime to your wall decor.
