The secret’s out (as if it wasn’t already) — I’m in love!
Not just with colour, but with painting itself. With every blobby, globby, rainbow-messy moment that brings an idea to life. This new collection is my love letter to the creative process — the joy, the challenge, the wonder of it all.
There are 15 new abstract paintings on 24” flat panels and 3 beautiful print options in this enormously colourful collection. I’m as nervous as I am excited to show you – this is my whole heart on display! Yikes, but also wow!
All paintings are 24" x 24" and have been created on lightweight panels that are best finished with a simple lightweight tray frame for hanging.
Available for sale Thursday October 16h at 11am Eastern —links will work then.

Every Painting Has a Personality
As you read through the descriptions and captions throughout this collection, you'll probably notice how much fun I have with dreaming up and shaping the names and words that go along with my paintings.
Word play feels just like colour play to me. It’s a slow and thoughtful push and pull, a search for just the right word to express a feeling or a thought.
For this collection in particular, it needed the words I used and titles I picked to make me smile, carry a slight teasing nonsense feel, and be words that felt full of affection, joy and fun. I needed to love love love these names and happy to say, I really do! So, just for fun, I’ve shared a few cheeky little sneak peeks into some of the names of the ‘Smitten’ paintings below.

![]() 'Frolic' 24" x 24"; $800 (fine art prints also available) |
The name 'Frolic' popped into my mind as I was painting and made me smile right away. It's a word that tumbles straight into lush nature, full of playfulness and joy. These rich greens had me rolling down dewy, clover-covered hills, grass-stained and laughing all the way. I can see my brush was frolicking too, caught up in all that happy colour. |

'Whirlybird' was the nickname of a neighbourhood kid I knew growing up, and it’s stuck with me ever since. It’s such an energetic, youthful word. A little scattered, full of life, and always makes me smile. So when I was working on this painting and it kept changing with new ideas, extra touches, and whirling directional shifts, I knew it could only be my bright and beautiful 'Whirlybird.' |

![]() 'Superfine' 24" x 24"; $800 |
'Superfine' ... the name strutted in wearing bold purple and red, smooth as a pair of velvet bell-bottoms on a style king headed straight for the disco. It has that Saturday-night sparkle, full of swagger and rhythm and the moment it hit me, I couldn't stop grinning. The name was set in stone right then and there. It's pure SUPERFINE energy! |

The Other Bee dropped the word 'Shizzle' in a conversation one day, and everything stopped right there. I grabbed my notebook lickety-split because that word practically shouted painting title! It’s bold, ridiculous, and full of flair. The perfect match for the bright magenta, hot-diggity-dog burst of beautiful nonsense it came to be paired with. |

'Skootch' was a favourite bit of slang my mum used. It was her polite but firmly loving way of telling me to move over. This painting took longer than any other in the collection, with conflicting ideas and subtle, ever-shifting colours constantly nudging each other aside. By the end, it felt like 'Skootch' was telling me to skootch out of the way and let the art take the lead. |
