Fine Art Print

A bold dramatic sky painting originally commissioned for a magazine photoshoot, this abstract sky radiates energy and stops my heart each time to this day. With a thousand shades of colour in the wind and monstrous joy in the brushstrokes, it was the perfect painting to set the tone for the 'Forever Skies' collection of acrylic sky paintings.

'The Place to Be' is a large-scale landscape painting featuring luminous abstract clouds in a deep blue sky floating over a red landscape. For the original collection of abstract acrylic sky paintings, I set out with big brushes and giant canvases to paint skies that felt like forever. There's a freedom to painting large that I love - there's room to explore, the scale can be looser, and the brushstrokes are full of beautiful energy.

As the original acrylic sky painting has sold, I'm delighted to offer 'The Place to Be' as a museum-quality fine art print. The print is created from the full-scale original, so when scaled down there is a beautiful concentration of colour and drama in a fine art print that retains all the artistry of the original.

Sizes

The size shown for an art print on fine art paper is the final sheet size, which includes a 1” border. The border gives the image ‘room to breathe’ and leave some space for my signature as well as space to accommodate framing with a mat. 

The size shown for a canvas art print is the image size. Your canvas print will arrive rolled with an additional 2” border (white or printed) so you can wrap this around the stretcher frame of your choice. My signature runs vertically up the right side of the border.

Materials

My sky art prints are available on museum quality fine art paper or canvas with archival pigment inks, ensuring that the colors and details remain vibrant and crisp for years to come.

Prints created on fine art paper are created with a 1” border - the print size refers to the cut paper size including the border.

Canvas art prints are created with an extra 2” border for wrapping around a stretcher frame. This is available as white or printed with an extension of the image.

Timelines

Each fine art print is created just for you by my specialist printer and will ship approx 10-14 days after ordering.

All prints are sold unframed and are shipped rolled or flat depending on size.
