Early mornings in spring have a special feeling about them. It's something in the combination of crisp air and the first rays of warming sun. Imagine being awake, outside, just as the first light of sunrise begins to wash quietly across the sky, pushing darkness aside, illuminating the clouds and highlighting an emerging palette of colour. With this 'Aurora' sky I wanted to explore this inspiring time of day with some softly daring colour choices, but from the safety of a familiar shore.

Created from a large-format sunrise painting in the 'Midsummer Skyscapes' collection of abstract sky paintings, a wall art print of 'Aurora' embodies the vibrant and joyful energy of spring.

Translucent clouds shimmer with the colours of early morning, just before daybreak. Sizes

The size shown for an art print on fine art paper is the final sheet size, which includes a 1” border. The border gives the image ‘room to breathe’ and leave some space for my signature as well as space to accommodate framing with a mat. 

The size shown for a canvas art print is the image size. Your canvas print will arrive rolled with an additional 2” border (white or printed) so you can wrap this around the stretcher frame of your choice. My signature runs vertically up the right side of the border.

Materials

Art prints are created on museum-quality fine art paper or printed on canvas with archival pigment inks to ensure colours and details remain vibrant and crisp for years to come.
