When I need to kick-start my imagination and test the scope of my ideas, I always turn to colour—it's the conduit through which I explore the world, taking me to wonderful places. This small painting is exactly one such place. What a terrific challenge it was to set out an unusual palette and spend time on the journey of creating this warm, luminous evening sky painting. It's through skies like this that I learn and grow, infusing my work with fresh emotions and sharing the wonder that inspires my art.
