I feel like this painting was my "everything but the kitchen sink" moment ... and then I threw in the kitchen sink because I was having so much fun loading up this vase with ALL the flowers.
On a more technical note, even with the fullness of the bouquet, this painting doesn't overwhelm the viewer because the underlying components (a limited and cohesive colour palette, centred composition, and grounding empty space) work together in balance.
Gloria is a wonderful Grande Dame in the finest, most beautiful way.
