A continuation of my passion for green and exploration of the depths and range of all its gorgeous hues. As I put the finishing touches on the ‘Summer Detours’ collection, there was still an impulse to explore more, paint more, and delve further into the beauty of jade green.
I tapped into a positive stream of energy with ‘Jade II’, following intuition and emotion to create something that lights up a room! As one of the largest abstract paintings in the collection, it gave me more space to play with colour and explore how the shapes related to each other and flowed across the canvas. As I built up the layers in this painting the colour intensified, and the luminous beauty of 'Jade II' emerged.
The result exudes a strong sense of joy, reminiscent of the feeling of a summer day that meanders from sunrise to evening beneath a bright sky. I’m looking forward to seeing who connects with ‘Jade II’ and welcomes it to brighten their space. It’s a fresh burst of summer joy that will light up a room and bring smiles to everyone around.
