I have to work at loving winter but every time I bundle up and head out of the city to stomp my way through a fresh fall of snow, I realise how much I absolutely love the silent, bright whiteness of it all. I love how the snow shadows flow and blend from blue to mauve, how the snowflakes flutter through the air, how thick and layered the clouds can be, and I just love how utterly peaceful a snow day can be.
