The sky started to rumble when I was just about as far away from home as I could be and, knowing there was no way to beat the clouds and stay dry, that was the moment I stopped to really take in the incoming rainstorm.
Experiencing powerful weather by being right out there in it is something I don’t do nearly enough, but it was most definitely worth the thorough soaking I got on this occasion. And while the rain didn’t last long, the memory will live on in this painting.
