I borrowed this quiet winter view from a ski friend and had such fun leaning into the idea of a million snowflakes adding yet more fresh snow into an already snow-filled scene. Bring on the snow!
As always, painting soft shadows into, onto, and through snowdrifts requires a smooth and quiet kind of brushstroke that not only feels peaceful, but looks peaceful. So very still, but the flurry of extra snowflakes? That’s winter coming to play.
