Collection: Smitten (2025)

The secret’s out — I’m completely, hopelessly in love. Not just with colour, but with painting itself. With every blobby, globby, gloriously messy moment that turns an idea into something alive. This collection of abstract paintings is my love letter to the creative process — to the joy, the challenge, and the pure wonder that comes with making art.

There are the fun, free-flow days where I get lost in colour and imagination, where strange ideas pop up and make me laugh out loud. And there are the tougher days too, the ones that test my patience, twist my heart, and demand more honesty than I knew I had. Somehow, all of it together — the chaos, the beauty, the lessons — has become a love that feels lifelong, complex, and true. I’m utterly smitten.

Each piece in this series of abstracts carries a love story of its own, told through brushstrokes and bursts of colour. It’s not just about holding a brush (though, truly, that’s one of my happiest places), but about everything that surrounds it — the dreaming, the reflecting, the seeing. This creative life has changed how I view the world, deepened what I value, and stretched me in every possible way. It’s taken much, but given me more, and I wouldn’t trade a single messy, magical moment of it.
