'The Place To Be'

Fine Art Print

A bold dramatic sky painting originally commissioned for a magazine photoshoot, this abstract sky radiates energy and stops my heart each time to this day. With a thousand shades of colour in the wind and monstrous joy in the brushstrokes, it was the perfect painting to set the tone for the 'Forever Skies' collection of acrylic sky paintings.

‘The Place to Be’ is a large-scale landscape painting featuring luminous abstract clouds in a deep blue sky floating over a red landscape. For the original collection of abstract acrylic sky paintings, I set out with big brushes and giant canvases to paint skies that felt like forever. There's a freedom to painting large that I love - there's room to explore, the scale can be looser, and the brushstrokes are full of beautiful energy.

As the original acrylic sky painting has sold, I’m delighted to offer ‘The Place to Be’ as a museum-quality fine art print. The print is created from the full-scale original, so when scaled down there is a beautiful concentration of colour and drama in a fine art print that retains all the artistry of the original.
