The sweet fragrance of freshly picked peaches at the farmers market completely seduced me and just wouldn't let go. I didn't want to be literal with this painting so stayed away from the obvious oval shapes and went deep into a new range of colours instead. 'Sun ripe' was the phrase floating through my mind as I experimented with a new palette of peaches and corals. Happily, my brushstrokes delivered something juicy and warm with all the delicious fuzzy hues of my favourite summer fruit.
'Peach' may be the most enticing exploration of taste and aroma in the 'Summer Detours' collection of abstract paintings and prints. A happy summer memory of all things sweet and juicy, it's a bite into the sweet heat of blazing late-afternoon sun. Using a slightly larger canvas for the original acrylic abstract painting gave me room to build up the layers of this evocative image.
Just make sure you have a napkin on hand in case any juice drips down your chin!

The size shown for an abstract art print on fine art paper is the final sheet size, which includes a 1” border. The border gives the image ‘room to breathe’ and leaves some space for my signature as well as space to accommodate framing with a mat.
The size shown for a canvas art print is the image size. Your canvas print will arrive rolled with an additional 2” border (white or printed) so you can wrap this around the stretcher frame of your choice. My signature runs vertically up the right side of the border.

My abstract art prints are available on museum quality fine art paper or canvas with archival pigment inks, ensuring that the colors and details remain vibrant and crisp for years to come.
Prints created on fine art paper are created with a 1” border - the print size refers to the cut paper size including the border.
Canvas art prints are created with an extra 2” border for wrapping around a stretcher frame. This is available as white or printed with an extension of the image.
