Even after all these years of painting skies, I can still find unexpected delight in the process, being surprised and falling in love with the end result. This painting was one such delight! A slight shift in sunset colors (peach in place of orange, dusty mauve instead of purple) suddenly meant a whole new world, one that I swoon for. It feels like a warm embrace, a fond farewell wave at the end of a beautiful day.
