There’s a beautiful forest trail, from waterfall to lake, along a river and rocks just minutes from my home. Needless to say, I’m there a lot. Recently I discovered a “secret” way to access the trail (that might require a bit of questionable trespassing) but this vantage point seemed too perfect to miss out on. It’s a painting-worthy spot to paint, particularly with the late afternoon sun casting deep purple shadows along the shore. It’s a place that feels like mine alone when I’m there, but one that I’m happy to share in this painting.
