It was exactly the kind of day I love being outside, hiking the trails alone, drawn deeper into nature by a powerful sky and light on the horizon.
Miles and miles of watching clouds sweep shadows across the earth, marvelling by how a view filled with so mich movement could feel completely quiet and peaceful at the same time.
Following a well worn path and trusting the footsteps of those who had had travelled it before, I carried on into the wind, feeling stronger and braver with every step. Back in the studio that sense of energy returned with every brushstroke, carrying the memory of that day into this painting.
