'Winterland'

Fine Art Print

As much as I'm known for my bright and colourful skies, I purposely dove into this stark winter view following a long winter hike amidst a snowstorm. It was the depths of winter - absolutely freezing and bleak and yet so, so peaceful. Not a sound. It was, and I felt, deeply quiet out there alone and knee-deep in snow watching the snowflakes. I loved finding that feeling here in 'Winterland'.

An art print created from an original acrylic sky painting this winter view reflects the profound quiet of an evening snowfall and the solitude that comes when you're the only one stomping around in the midst of it. 

There is a dynamic simplicity in this image; it manages to feel both warm and winter. The restrained colour palette of 'Winterland' omits bright colour almost entirely, in favour of highlighting the motion in lengthening shadows and encroaching moonlight.

Sizes

The size shown for an art print on fine art paper is the final sheet size, which includes a 1” border. The border gives the image ‘room to breathe’ and leave some space for my signature as well as space to accommodate framing with a mat. 

The size shown for a canvas art print is the image size. Your canvas print will arrive rolled with an additional 2” border (white or printed) so you can wrap this around the stretcher frame of your choice. My signature runs vertically up the right side of the border.

Materials

My sky art prints are available on museum quality fine art paper or canvas with archival pigment inks, ensuring that the colors and details remain vibrant and crisp for years to come.

Prints created on fine art paper are created with a 1” border - the print size refers to the cut paper size including the border.

Canvas art prints are created with an extra 2” border for wrapping around a stretcher frame. This is available as white or printed with an extension of the image.

Timelines

Each fine art print is created just for you by my specialist printer and will ship approx 10-14 days after ordering.

Shipping

All prints are sold unframed and are shipped rolled or flat depending on size.
