I'm a hiker at heart, going wherever there is a trail and a forest (& just a little bug spray). There might be a moment when I get a little lost without a compass or a map, but 'lost' among the trees isn't really lost at all. 'Hillside' is the clearing I'll stumble upon along the path. A moment to unwind beneath a stunning blue sky. What a glorious view! Eyes closed; face tilted upwards to the sweeping clouds. A deep inhale of fresh air to remember the moment so I could capture the feeling and share it in this painting.

This hillside painting is a favourite view that is wide open, expansive and free. It's a peaceful stop on a hike along a woodland trail, a moment to revel in the glorious colours of the surrounding forest and enjoy the sun's patterns of shadows and light. A warm breeze carries clouds overhead, producing a swirling abstract sky that extends to a distant horizon.

This fine art print was created from 'Hillside', one of the statement abstract landscape paintings in the 'Lakelands' collection. It's a memory of a glorious afternoon hike where the sky was lively, the sun was shining, and a warm breeze shaped fluid movement in a dynamic abstract sky.

I captured the energy of this glorious view with my brushstrokes on a large canvas. The original 'Hillside' painting has found its forever home but you can still bring the timeless beauty of this view into your home as a fine art print.

Sizes

The size shown for an art print on fine art paper is the final sheet size, which includes a 1” border. The border gives the image ‘room to breathe’ and leave some space for my signature as well as space to accommodate framing with a mat. 

The size shown for a canvas art print is the image size. Your canvas print will arrive rolled with an additional 2” border (white or printed) so you can wrap this around the stretcher frame of your choice.

Materials

My sky art prints are available on museum quality fine art paper or canvas with archival pigment inks, ensuring that the colors and details remain vibrant and crisp for years to come.

Prints created on fine art paper are created with a 1” border - the print size refers to the cut paper size including the border.

Canvas art prints are created with a 2” border which is available white or printed with an extension of the image.

Each fine art print is created just for you by my specialist printer and will ship approx 10-14 days after ordering.
