This lovely painting, which began with the smallest idea and a dab of colour, charmed its way across the finish line with every brushstroke. It dangled a thread of beauty before my eyes at the beginning, then teased and tickled me along (with a few detours) before reaching a most beautiful place. It feels both soft and certain, a gentle heart beating beneath the colours of spring.
'Buttermint' was painted on a lightweight MDF panel in a standard size for easy framing.
