'Jade'

My recent passion for Emerald Green as seen through the lens of spring. This fresh Jade plays with reckless abandon in a kaleidoscopic garden bringing a sense of renewal and rejuvenation. Painting the original of this knockout was a challenging multi-day exploration involving layers upon layers of paint to build up a feeling of unrestrained joy. As is so often the case, magic intervened and brought this breathtaking beauty into being.

This collection of colorful abstract paintings and prints captures the joyful feeling of a summer day that meanders from sunrise to evening underneath a sunny sky that illuminates a rich palette of vibrant colours in every corner of the garden. The larger canvases I used for the original paintings gave me more room to build up layers of interest in each, elevating the colour intensity and sense of energy.
